Six fabrics, one cut: which MonDoudou suits you
All six MonDoudou share the same cut. They carry your child from the first day up to clothing size 98, from 3.5 to 20 kg, and are adjusted in the same way. What sets them apart is the fabric. It decides how the carrier feels, how it looks and how you care for it.
Toile de Jouy, Natural Beige and Noir in organic cotton
Three models are made of organic cotton. Cotton is soft on the skin, absorbs moisture well and is hard-wearing. On the Toile de Jouy the motif is woven: rural scenes in blue that sit in the fabric rather than being printed on. Natural Beige and Noir do without a pattern, one in a light natural shade, the other in black. All three are washed on a gentle cycle with liquid detergent.
Leopold with modal in the yarn
In the Leopold, the yarn contains modal alongside organic cotton. Modal is a cellulose fibre, usually made from beech wood. It is particularly soft and smooth and lets the fabric drape fluidly. The leopard pattern in sand is woven tone on tone. For washing: gentle cycle, low spin.
Très Chic with linen
Linen feels cool and lets plenty of air through, which is pleasant on warm days. It is very tear-resistant and becomes softer with every wash; light creasing is part of it. The Très Chic Linen is woven in houndstooth in grey and cream. After washing, pull it into shape and let it dry in the air.
Très Chic with silk
The same houndstooth pattern is available with silk and viscose in the yarn. Silk adds a fine sheen, is light and balances temperature. It is sensitive to friction, heat and harsh detergents. It is best to wash this carrier by hand, without rubbing, and to dry it in the shade.
What applies to all six
For washing, put any MonDoudou into a pillowcase, because of the buttons and the buckle. Bleach and fabric softener damage the fabric. The care label is what counts. If your carrier needs a thorough refresh, we look it over and care for it in the Carrier Spa.
If you are still unsure
Which fabric suits you also depends on the season in which you carry most and how much care you are happy to give. Krystyna Cordes advises you on this in Bremen and the surrounding area, by phone or by video.
